Turkey Tacos


For the meat:

  • 1 lb ground turkey (hormone and antibiotic free)

  • 1/2 onion diced

  • 1/2 cup water

  • 2 tsp chili powder

  • 1 tsp ground cumin

  • 1 tsp garlic powder

  • 1 tsp salt

  • 1/2 tsp ground black pepper

  • 1/4-1/2 tsp red pepper flakes

For Serving:

  • corn tortillas make sure they're gluten-free

  • 1 avocado diced

  • 1 tomato diced

  • 1/4 cup cilantro chopped

  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese optional - choose good quality cheese - grass fed is best and only sprinkle on a bit


  1. Preheat large skillet over medium heat for a few minutes.

  2. Add beef and onions and cook over medium heat, breaking up the beef as it cooks. Cook for 8-10 minutes, until beef is browned and no pink remains. Drain extra fat. 

  3. Add water and spices to the skillet and stir to combine. Cook for 2-3 minutes, until water is absorbed by the meat. Remove from heat and set aside.

  4. Place corn tortillas in an oven at 350F for about 3-4 minutes in order to heat them up. 

  5. Serve with diced avocado, tomato, cilantro, and shredded cheese. 

One serving is 2 tacos.
