Tips to improving digestion

  1. Focus on sensual eating every day. Stage 1 digestion (cephalic stage) start with your senses. Including sight. It is important to producing salivary enzymes to digest the food you put in your mouth before going to your stomach.

  2. Chew each bite of food 20-30 times. Use a timer and aim for 20 minutes for each meal. Snacks aim for 10-15 mins.

  3. Sit and eat and avoid eating on the run or when you are doing something else.

  4. Once you start journaling and seeing how you react to foods, use sensual eating and slow down, you will have a better idea of where your digestion is really at. We will introduce stage 2 next week.

If you are new to working out or consider yourself inflexible, start with the beginner movement flow and then progress up. Once you have mastered the Advanced flow, you could put all 3 together.
